Who doesn't love the summertime? The weather is fabulous and there is just so much great stuff to experience. For example, you could go swimming, run along a pretty shoreline, pick strawberries or take the kids for ice cream sundaes. But of course being able to enjoy all of those activities is dependent on more than just the weather. It is important for your back to be healthy too. So why not schedule visits with our chiropractor Dr. Gallentine?
Spinal manipulation and other chiropractic treatments will go a long way in making sure that you synovial joints are in top working order. They are essentially fluid filled pockets within the spinal column that ensure people can engage in a variety of activities, like beach volleyball and rollerblading. But that's not the only importance of scheduling spinal manipulation in the summertime. It can also help ease musculoskeletal pain, improve a person's mood and give them added flexibility.
So even if your back isn't in tip-top shape at the start of summer, it may be when the leaves start to fall. It all depends on whether or not you choose to receive frequent, chiropractic care. Chiropractic care may include spinal manipulation no matter what the season. However, in the summertime, chiropractors may choose to combine it with recommendations regarding seasonal foods and supplements that are believed to help maintain synovial fluid.
A vast number of supplements and seasonal foods are said to improve the synovial fluid that naturally exists in a person's spine. Among them are grapes, oily fish and iron-rich organ meats. With that said, grilling some salmon steaks and topping them with fruit salsa may help too. Similar may be said of dining on chopped liver pate or grilled chicken livers. To learn more, it is best to contact our chiropractic team because we believe in approaching summertime spinal woes from a variety of treatment angles.
